BEGINNING OF BOOK 1!!!

Chapter 1

Frolicking with Weaver on the beach, introduction to characters and situation, discussion of missions and Ivy’s attitude.

Thursday, March 19

Chapter 2

Background info on the house that Ivy built, Robert, and some of the past. Ivy goes to Ridgefield.

Chapter 3

Ivy meets Nina, deals with the principal and Nina’s teacher, makes arrangements to fly Nina home.

Chapter 4

Ivy annoys the principal and her secretary, then goes to the mall and has a snack.

Chapter 5

Ivy has more fun at the mall, then goes back to the playground and falls asleep in a tree.

Chapter 6

Ivy comes home with Nina, meets her mother Francis and chats with her. Saves Nina from pulling a pot of boiling water down on herself, which leads to a discussion of her abilities and clues Francis in that this relationship is something special. Ivy helps make dinner.

Chapter 7

Ivy meets father Carl and brother Jeremy, and makes Carl nervous with her abilities. Francis has to talk him into letting Ivy take Nina to school the next day. Ivy chats with Francis, and explores ideas with Nina, then some more background is filled in.

Friday, March 20

Chapter 8

Ivy plays Frisbee with Nina, then goes to the gym. She goes back for Nina’s lunch, then goes outside and sits in the tree to play with the water. She and Nina talk during recess, and then Ivy goes to eat lunch at a deli and ends up encountering Perry. He invites her to his concert and they get coffee.

Chapter 9

Ivy meets Shelly and takes her to the fundraiser, and they have a conversation. Then she picks up Nina and takes her home. Ivy asks Francis if they can all go to her house, and she agrees. They make the trip.

Chapter 10

Nina and Francis visit Ivy’s place and meet the crew. Nina bonds with Adele and Ivy has an argument with Zeke. Francis gives her permission for Nina to return sometime, and they leave; Ivy flies with Weaver.

Saturday, March 21

Chapter 11

Nina comes over early in the morning, and Ivy and she hang out. Ivy goes to the store. Nina goes home, and Ivy and friends go and watch Perry’s band perform.

Sunday, March 22

Chapter 12

Ivy wakes up, takes Keenan flying for his book, eats breakfast and talks to Zeke. Nina comes over and Ivy helps her set up the volleyball net. She and Nina explore for a while. Nina plays with Tab and Thursday, and Ivy makes dinner with Adele and Robin. They have a dinner, Ivy gets upset when no one pays attention to her, and Adele talks her out of her mood. They all play volleyball and then Ivy watches Tab and Nina play, and Nina gives out friendship shells. Then Ivy takes Nina home and has an interesting flying experience.

Monday, March 23

Chapter 13

Nina and Ivy fly to school, and then Ivy goes to the library and gets a book and a library card. After recess (and an encounter with the principal), Ivy tries to call Perry from the school’s phone and ends up hearing a conversation about herself between the principal and the police. Ivy takes her anger out by throwing sand balls at the school, then goes off and plays basketball with Bill. Ivy and Nina discuss the principal’s phone call, then go home. The doorbell rings and they go to answer it.

Chapter 14

Police come to Nina’s house and try to question Ivy about her behavior at the school. She gets angry and knocks one of them unconscious, which leads to a chase from the other cop. Ivy manages to get Nina safely into the passage before she is tranquilized and falls unconscious.

Chapter 15

Ivy reawakens and is questioned by the police. Eventually they let her go and Ivy goes with Nina back to her house, to try and help the situation over there.

Chapter 16

Ivy handles the police situation and then finds out that Nina was able to open the pool to get home. Nina and Adele experiment with the pool, and Ivy gets a bit jealous and tries to vent her misdirected anger. Zeke offers to take her out for ice cream, and she takes him flying for the first time. They watch the sunset.

Tuesday, March 24

Chapter 17

Adele informs Ivy that she has to do another divination, because in thinking about Nina’s concerns for her, she ended up dreaming about someone who needed Ivy. Ivy finds out that Bailey looks a lot like her and is eager to go find her, and goes to New York City. She explores and ends up in a crappy hotel, and then sees Bailey in a storm. She tries to go out and meet her but by the time she gets there Bailey has disappeared.

Wednesday, March 25

Chapter 18

Ivy finds Bailey at the playground, the two have a nice talk about themselves, their abilities, and their pasts. Ivy invites Bailey to live with her, and she accepts. The book ends with Ivy showing Bailey the room they will share.
