Until he was fourteen, Ben knew very little about his long-lost sister except for what little he could discern from her photo albums and the little things his parents told him. He always knew “Amanda” was a taboo subject. When a girl claiming to be his sister called, saying their mother contacted her because of a tabloid article, Ben didn’t know what to think. He knew his mother would try to hog her if she came over, so he invited her to dinner himself and didn’t mention it to anyone so he could meet her first. When she came, he showed her the photo album and answered some questions and gave her a hug that affected both of them emotionally. She gently demonstrated her powers for her brother, which he thought was amazing but weird. She only stayed for part of dinner that day before she was overwhelmed, but soon she was back and he could begin getting to know her. She attended his birthday party, freaked out at the table because she felt uncomfortable and accidentally used her energy and felt weird about it, so when she tried to escape for a while Ben insisted on going with her. She poured out her problems to him and gave him his first flight. Since then things cooled down a bit and she and Ben have been exploring their sibling relationship.
