Information, inspiration, and other notes
This story was written when I was in high school, as a response to an offer from the teacher to submit creative writing instead of having to do a critical report. It was written, in its entirety, in one sleepless night, and later edited and smoothed out (which explains the later copyright on it). I pondered the concept for a long time before actually writing it. My teacher never read it and "forgot" I'd submitted anything, and made me do the critical project, incidentally.
