SwankiVY2: Doing okay. Haven't seen you in a while.

SwankiVY2: Right now?

MAINIAC: yeah?

SwankiVY2: Well, I was talking to two friends, and in between conversations I was editing my fourth book

MAINIAC: how come youre home on a friday night?

SwankiVY2: Where should I be, in your opinion?

MAINIAC: i dont know a pretty girl like you should be at a party or something or with your b/f

SwankiVY2: ::sigh::

SwankiVY2: I have no interest in "partying," as so many people expect me to

MAINIAC: howcome

MAINIAC: ?

SwankiVY2: I STILL can't undersatnd why people think I "should" like parties--or boyfriends, for that matter--just because they think I am pretty.

MAINIAC: i know it might sound weird or something coming form a guy that you dont even know but loosen up girl youre gonna crack yourhead studing to much these are suppose to be our best years

MAINIAC: we aint getting any younger

SwankiVY2: Okay. Listen. First of all, I did not spend tonight studying. Secondly, I *am* having a very good time with my life.

SwankiVY2: Thirdly, I don't see why the fact that I am not "partying" means to you that I am not having a good time.

MAINIAC: i didnt mean it in a bad way

SwankiVY2: Most people don't.

SwankiVY2: But most people seem to think that because my interests don't include getting drunk, listening to certain types of music, and "hooking up," it means I'm not "having fun."

MAINIAC: but i dont think aol means that youre having a good time

SwankiVY2: And that I am a prude, and need to "loosen up," and all other kinds of weird judgments about me that make no sense.

SwankiVY2: You think the fact that I am on AOL right now instead of "partying" means I'm not having a good time?

MAINIAC: you might be having a good time but i think you would have a better time playing miniture golf with someone

SwankiVY2: I like Putt-Putt.

MAINIAC: lol

SwankiVY2: Super Saturday allows you to pay six dollars and play mini-golf all day, have free lunch, and get 20 tokens for video games.

SwankiVY2: It is a really good deal.

MAINIAC: maybe one of these days you might like to go minuture golfing with me

SwankiVY2: Oh, I don't know if you'd enjoy my company.

SwankiVY2: You might, though.

MAINIAC: i would defenetly love your company

SwankiVY2: I dunno, on the other hand I might annoy you.

SwankiVY2: Just like you might annoy me.

MAINIAC: well everyone can be annoy every once in a while but i dont see why that should stop us from minature golfing

SwankiVY2: Yup. But unless I knew them a *lot* better, I wouldn't go anywhere with someone I met on the Internet.

MAINIAC: well you know we could always meet for lunch or something at the mall whenever you want

SwankiVY2: I'm not interested right now.

SwankiVY2: I'm wary of the way you talk to me and the way you seem to think, based on your statements...I'm very careful about people I meet.

MAINIAC: its just lunch its not like i am gonna hit on you or anything i mean im just looking for a freind and i thought you can use one

SwankiVY2: That's not what I'm worried about. I'm used to getting hit on--it's annoying but nothing I haven't dealt with before.

SwankiVY2: The problem is, I don't think I would be interested in face-to-face company with you at this time.

SwankiVY2: As for me being "able to use a friend," that's always true, but don't say it like you think there's a lack of them in my life...you don't know me that well. :)

MAINIAC: well maybe a couple of months from now when we know eachother a little better maybe we can talk on the phone or something and then after that when you feel more comfertable we can meet

SwankiVY2: If that happens, perhaps. But I should tell you that out of all the people I've met, *I* have been the one to suggest the meeting on at least 90% of them.

SwankiVY2: (I don't keep records, but that is a rough estimate.)

SwankiVY2: That is because people who seem so eager to meet me are also usually the ones I don't want to meet.

MAINIAC: well im sorry for being to eager i mean i just moved here from miami and i dont hardly have any freinds i just wanted to hang out with

SwankiVY2: I understand that, I'm not condemning you for wanting to hang out with friends. But that's just not how I feel comfortable meeting people in this medium.

MAINIAC: a ight thats cool i guess we wont be freinds after all
