i hate your site my e mail is brit_qte@[address deleted] hahahahahahahahah ps your a bad speller
[Yup, that's pretty absurd, huh? It's obviously a REALLY BAD attempt to "push my buttons" and get me to mail brit_qte with my retort. How could someone who types "your" instead of "you're" claim that I'm a bad speller? I THINK NOT! My reply follows. . . .]

i hate your site
That's okay, everyone's entitled to their own opinions. If you have something you'd like to discuss with me about why you hate it, and suggestions for improvement, I'd be glad to hear them.
my e mail is brit_qte@[address deleted]
Then why did you e-mail me from jr@[address deleted] ? I'm not sure what your intention is, but if I didn't know better I'd think perhaps you were trying to get me to e-mail brit_qte and harass him/her about something . . . what's wrong with the e-mail address you wrote me from?
hahahahahahahahah
If something is that funny, please share the joke.
ps your a bad speller
Well, I know you're wrong there. Is there something amiss on my website? If you find a spelling mistake, please cite it and let me know. Otherwise, you telling me I'm a bad speller doesn't help me much, as I know it's not true. However, you might want to take a look at yourself before you accuse me: you used the word "your" when you actually meant the word "you're." If you need a spelling tutor, perhaps I can help.
Regards,

[I expected that to be the end of it, that jr would realize that I wasn't going to e-mail brit_qte with harassing e-mail. It didn't turn out quite that way; I received an e-mail that was either a letter from an angry parent or fashioned to look like one.]

This is in regards to the letter you wrote me. I don't know what the deal is with this letter, but I will find out. I don't know what kind of site you have and I really don't care. Except for the fact that you were writing to a 13 year old girl. Yes, brit_qte@[address deleted] is her e-mail address. This is my e-mail address jr@[address deleted]. So I do think you should think about what you write first and consider that what they say, could be the truth. Yes, I do believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. No, noone needs a tpying tutor. That is why I send her to school. Thanks anyway!!! If you have anything else to say you e-mail me not my daughter.
Sincerely
Her Mother
[Well, I wasn't thinking miss brit_qte was necessarily a liar, but it would hardly be prudent to write response mail to an address that hadn't mailed me, would it? I was a little annoyed by this letter as it actually seems sincere, like some parent thinks I'm harassing her daughter. Please. Here's my reply.]

I don't know either. It came out of nowhere, unsolicited, and I responded.
I don't know what kind of site you have and I really don't care.
And I'm not sure who wrote me and why, but I answered.
Except for the fact that you were writing to a 13 year old girl. Yes, brit_qte@[address deleted] is her e-mail address. This is my e-mail address jr@[address deleted]. So I do think you should think about what you write first and consider that what they say, could be the truth.
I did consider. But I decided to respond to the e-mail address that wrote to me, rather than accidentally address it to someone who might have nothing to do with whatever issue *someone* had with my site. Whoever wrote to me has access to the e-mail address jr@[address deleted], so it is only fair to think that that is who I should respond to.
If you have anything else to say you e-mail me not my daughter.
If your daughter has anything to say to me, tell her to use her own e-mail address so that I do not end up e-mailing "back" to someone who is not involved. I received a letter from . . . I suppose your e-mail address, and I responded--I am not at fault for any sort of mistake, I did not e-mail myself, and I did not e-mail you or your daughter first. I feel you think I am in error for something and I am not. Out of nowhere, for whatever reason, I received an e-mail from this address [jr@[address deleted]] saying, and I quote the message in its entirety: "i hate your site my e mail is brit_qte@[address deleted] hahahahahahahahah ps your a bad speller" I am not sure what brought this on since I don't know any jr@[address deleted] OR any brit_qte@[address deleted]. If you are jr and your daughter is brit_qte, perhaps she should use her own address to voice any complaints she has on my site . . . though I don't know why she would e-mail me only to seemingly insult me. But these things are not always logical, I suppose.
Regards,

[I was figuring I'd probably get some high-and-mighty bitch-out from "the parent" again, but instead I got this:]
Subj: your email
From: jr
To: Ivy
we will not email you anymore ok
YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE.
[Um . . . yeah . . . I decided if this kid wants to think that she's my worst nightmare because she can e-mail me about how much she hates my site, she's welcome to it, I don't need to reply to this. So I didn't, and never heard from her again.]
