[zachary] Officer Zachary: Book 1. Combed back brown hair just on the verge of graying, brown eyes, small mustache, tall, stern countenance, forty-ish. Is in charge of a branch at a police headquarters in Ridgefield, North Carolina. One of the officers who shows up at Nina’s house after a second report by Mrs. Thompson. Later conducts Ivy’s interrogation and after some cajoling decides to leave everything alone since Ivy has openly admitted she is through cooperating. Leaves Ivy with a word of advice: “Don’t think you can do whatever you want in my town.” Fearing the cops getting Nina’s parents involved, she agrees to behave.
