[mrs. thompson] Mrs. Clara Thompson: Book 1. Black hair pulled back in a no-nonsense bun, brown eyes framed by simple wire glasses, rather short, severe-looking, early fifties. Principal of Kingswood Elementary School. Is immediately suspicious of Ivy coming onto Nina’s playground to talk to her, and tries to keep them apart. She accuses Ivy of trespassing, calls Nina’s mother, and calls the cops twice to try to get Ivy out of her hair. She’s just trying to protect Nina, but she sees danger everywhere and has a hard time believing that what Ivy is doing is innocent; she thinks her school must be the site of a complex prank, and is trying her best to remove it.
