[joe] Joe: Book 1. Dark wavy blonde hair, brown eyes, very muscular and fairly tall, early twenties. Works at a college gym. Ivy goes there on Nina’s suggestion and tries to work out, and he helps her figure out what to do to have a workout. Ivy loses her temper when local legend Scott Carson gets on her case, and she puts him in his place only to have confused Joe and scared him a little. In one of her first candid conversations about her abilities, Ivy deals with self-consciousness and confusion as she talks to him, and they discuss her health and strength issues. Doesn’t show up in later books.
