The Celts
This is a very abstract drawing. Being that the words were in Irish Gaelic, I got very little from what she was saying and so responded more to the music itself. It had a sort of marching sound, in a way, with some large bells in it. That marching sound is kind of symbolized by the repetitive lines and the pattern. The chimes were what made me draw the little moonlike shapes on either side; the bells sounded like moons to me. Anything else in the picture I don't remember why I would have drawn it; sometimes it is a spur-of-the-moment thing. It is interesting to me that later, when I read the translation of the song, I noticed that my drawing seems to be preserved under a little dome, which goes along well with the lyric that means "We are alive forever." :)
The Celts--lyrics
Hi-ri, Hi-ro, Hi-ri.
Hoireann is O, ha hi, ra ha, ra ho ra.
Hoireann is O, ha hi, ra ha, ra ha ra.
Hi-ri, Hi-ra, Hi-ri.
Saol na saol,
Tús go deireadh.
Tá muid beo
Go deo.
Saol na saol,
Tús go deireadh.
Tá muid beo
Go deo.
Hi-ri, Hi-ra, Hi-ri,
Hoireann is O, ho hi, ra ha, ra ha ra.
[ Repeat ]
(In Irish Gaelic, that means this:)
Life of lives,
Beginning to the end.
We are alive
Forever.
Life of lives,
Beginning to the end.
We are alive
Forever.
