THE WISDOM OF THE IVYVERSE

       Every situation has its pros and its cons. It’s important to know the risks or the down side of every good situation, but often it’s even more important to remember that in every undesirable situation, there is something positive.

       For instance, Ivy has this to say about her ability to leave the house and go in public while most of her housemates cannot:

Occasionally I liked looking almost human, but usually it just meant more work dumped in my lap. —Ivy, Book 1, Chapter 1

       She seems a bit bitter about it, but would she like to be on the other side of the fence? Weaver counsels her:

“You think you have it bad . . . [a]t least you can go places. I can’t do shit.” —Weaver, Book 2, Chapter 3

       So, Weaver thinks she’s lucky to be able to go out into the world. She can pursue entertainment as well as run errands for the house. There are always two sides to every story.
