Look where you’re going!
Being aware of what’s going on around you is not only a good idea; it can sometimes be the difference between life and death. Dax’s early advice here illustrates the principle:
But in a less literal sense, it is sometimes a lifesaver to just look around you and take in some information once in a while. You stand to be very out of touch if you focus only on yourself:
Even if you feel that certain things are not worth your attention, give it the benefit of the doubt and tune in. You may at least learn something . . . and may at best prevent yourself from having a bad accident!
