If you didn't come here via the previous page (i.e., through a Webring or a search), you might want to know what my song drawings are all about; read about them here.

Canyon Lands

I drew the sky and the ground first. The beginning of the song sounded like the sky, and later the song grounded itself in a ribbon of strong music, much different than what I interpreted as skylike music. I busied myself drawing the sun and filling in details in the sky while I waited for something more to develop in the song to draw between the earth and the sky. Then all of a sudden, a part came along which reminded me of very large flowers reaching toward the heavens. I drew the bulb-like plant in the center first, then the tulip-like flower, and finally the daisy-like flower. They're all looking toward the sun, hoping to be nourished and to finally reach their provider.
