SwankiVY's Book Collection!

Science/Nature
Adams, Douglas & Carwardine, Mark Last Chance to See Purchased from my wish list by my sister L for holiday 2022.
Bongiorno, Lori GreenGreenerGreenest This is a good book for trying to make sure you make the "smartest choices," environmentally speaking. I had seen a featured table of "green living" books just a couple days before my sister mentioned this book in conversation, so when I got a Borders coupon, I decided to get my own copy.
Bryson, Bill A Short History of Nearly Everything I love philosophical stuff about science, so I picked this up at a used book store when I saw it.
Chartrand, Mark R. Skyguide: A Field Guide to the Heavens Just a star atlas type thing, I love stars. I spilled chocolate milk on this or something, though. Some of the pages won't open.
Dawkins, Richard Ancestor's Tale, The Mike gave this to me for holiday 2016.
Dawkins, Richard Blind Watchmaker, The Birthday present from Stacy, great book about evolution.
Dawkins, Richard Devil's Chaplain, A Mike bought this from the used bookstore for me.
Dawkins, Richard Selfish Gene, The I saw this for sale at a used bookstore and wanted my own copy.
Dawkins, Richard Unweaving the Rainbow Mike got me this for my birthday 2015.
Dickinson, Terence; Dyer, Alan The Backyard Astronomer's Guide A nice hardcover with stunning photos. I never was able to use my telescope well enough to see even the basics.
Greene, Brian The Elegant Universe Received this paperback from Fred for my 29th birthday!
Hawking, Stephen Brief History of Time, A I decided I needed this in my collection after I'd read about half of it. Professor Hawking is great at bringing the *concept* to the layman without insisting upon their learning and understanding high math and physics.
Hawking, Stephen Illustrated A Brief History of Time/The Universe in a Nutshell, The This is a combined book that was on sale at Borders, so I couldn't resist it (especially with a coupon!).
Newkirk, Ingrid Making Kind Choices A sort of reference book by the president of PETA to help choose products that are kind to animals and the Earth.
Rogers, Elizabeth & Kostigen, Thomas The Green Book Bought on a whim from Borders because it was on a buy-one-get-one-half-price table. This is a collection of "green" advice to help be more environmentally conscious in everyday life.
Sagan, Carl Pale Blue Dot Present from Mikey for holiday 2009, science book I'd wanted to read for a while.
