I will never, ever open a bottle from the ocean again! Today I found one and it had a note in it. I pulled out the cork hastily and tried to get the message out. I reached my fingers in, but I couldn't reach. I took a stick and tried. No luck. I got out a fishook and tried. Again no luck! I got so exasperated that I ran off the beach and into the parking lot. I threw down the bottle on the parking lot and it broke. I carefully picked up the note. It said: Dear finder:
Hello. I don't know who wrote this, But it was probably me. Oh, that's right! It was me! Well, finder, don't panic. You are cursed. (I cursed you myself!) If you break the bottle that you just broke, then that is an automatic curse! Anyway, If I were you, I wouldn't drive a car. You'll see! Your'e cursed! I hope to meet you someday. I'll take away your curse when I meet you. I'll know you when I see you! Thanx for finding this! Bye!
--Sender.
If you are smart, then you'd have done the same thing I did! I threw the note! Then I stepped out onto the black asphalt and burned my foot! I jumped and landed on a piece of broken glass! I ran into the sand. Then I picked up my beach bag and my sandals. I put them on and walked to the car. Then I remembered . . . . "Don't Drive!" Oh that was just stupid stuff. I slid behind the wheel and drove onto the main street. I was in the right lane when I ran over a nail that pierced my tire! I skidded off the road and landed in the gutter, my wheels spinning. I got up and changed my tire, and got all muddy. Then I drove out of the gutter and home. I tripped over my door ledge and fell into the kitchen landing on my cat's tail, which made him jump, claw the curtains, rip them down, fall one end through the window and the other knocking the table over, which toppled the flower arrangement with water onto my head. I tried to call someone, but the line was dead! I sure hoped that that "Sender" was coming soon. I'm never opening a bottle from the sea again.
