One day, I was staring up at the clouds. I decided to try to make some! I went into the kitchen and pulled out a big soup tureen. I put some marshmallows in and added a bag of cotton balls and some polyester filling. I added some vegetable oil because mom always uses that when she makes brownies. I mixed it together. It was a sticky, white, fluffy mixture. I added a little water so that it could rain, and a little dark black pepper so it could turn black and storm. I put some stones in, so it could make noise with them and make thunder, and I held the soup tureen up to an electrical outlet on the wall for lightning. I added some ice for snow and hail. I mixed it all up. It looked like a huge puffy white marshmallow. Then I poured in a bottle of glue to hold it together. To make it a special cloud, I added a bottle of golden glitter. I picked up my own new cloud.
I added a little helium into it so it could float in the sky. Then I climbed on the roof and threw my cloud into the sky. It stayed there for three days. Then, the black pepper must have worked, because my cloud got very black indeed. Then it began to rain, little water drops, just in one place. It thundered, and, accidentally, a few rocks fell out. It lightninged, a zigzag of electrical light. It didn't strike anything. Then I was very surprized! It began to snow, in Florida! It hailed too. I looked at the snow mound that was washed away by the rain. I held out my hand and looked up at my cloud. A single raindrop fell, right into my hand.
It was a golden raindrop.
I still have my raindrop.
Any time I want it to snow, I put ice in my cloud. Any time I want it to rain out P.E., I bring my cloud to school and pour water in it, and every once in a while, I sit in it and it takes me for a ride. It's a little gooey, but it's fun!
